How do I put this gently? Grow the eff up. You behaving as a petulent child does not make your life better. It’s a very straight forward concept.  Sometimes grown adults have to make sacrifices. If you refuse to move, and insist on acting like that is everyone/anyone else’s problem, it only comes back on you. Clearly you are feeling said inevitable repercussions. What you are doing simply is not working. Ask mommy and daddy for a down payment and bite the bullet.  Not everyone who lives in Virginia subscribed to the local politics, but they make it work. What are you babbling about?  If people in Fairfax seriously want fewer people commuting from Maryland, they need to both stop subsidizing employers to move to Va, and examine all policies that limit growth close to employment centers in Fairfax.  That is straightforward, and the sacrifices Fairfax will need to make.  What Fairfax is doing appears to not be working.  Oh, and ask mommy and daddy (the commonwealth, and the FTA) to being looking seriously at  Purple Line extension from Bethesda to Tysons, ASAP. [/quote]

Are there people in Fairfax who don't themselves drive everywhere and can thus with a straight face tell other people to not drive everywhere?  I don't have a dog in this fight but the hypocrisy and NIMBYism here is sort of stunning.[/quote]
