The code of conduct and the extreme behavior issues which hijack the majority of the resources away from the rest of the students. I'm not talking about kids with IEPs.
--from a teacher
What about violations of the MCPS Employee Code of Conduct in which students who are in the care of MCPS are harmed? -- A MCPS Parent
If you think there are more teachers harming students than students harming their peers and teachers, you are part of the problem.
If you don't see that teachers are a huge issue you are part of the problem.
I agree abuse by teachers is enormously important, but it is not the dominant threat our students face.
A threat of any sort to students or teachers should be important. To say one is more of a problem than others is crazy talk. It probably depends on what school you are using as an example. If you are a parent at Cloverly Elementary than you might have a point that child predators who are teachers are a bigger problem than student violence.
