Hey, how about your psychics and spirit readers provide some evidence -- just once. James Randi will even give you a million bucks.
I've helped countless people connect to deceased loved ones. I've helped law enforcement solve cases. I've worked with clients on painful past life issues. I've cleared homes and businesses of unwelcome entities. I'm happy to "provide evidence" to my clients. I do not, however, perform carnival tricks or prove my ability to skeptics. If you don't believe, then why on earth would you talk to a medium?
I do not believe you have done any such thing, and in fact I am fairly certain you are a charlatan like every one before you for thousands of years. Or, more likely, you are trolling.
+1 Bible is very clear on "mediums": Deuteronomy 18:10-12 "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. "For whoever does these things is detestable to the LORD; and because of these detestable things the LORD your GOD will drive them out before you." Leviticus 19:31 'Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your GOD." Leviticus 20:6 'As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists, to play the harlot after them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people."
Ridiculous. Prayer is literally communication with Spirit. There are examples of prophets all over the Bible. Jesus Christ was a psychic, for heaven's sake. And he said "greater things than this you can do as well". Early Christians had no problem at all believing in prophets, seerers, angels, ..... It's only recently that people have decided that communicating with the spirit world is somehow evil. It's like anything else....it's all about your intention.
Prayer is to God only. Christ was not psychic, He knew the full revelation of God’s plan. Moses addresses the people just before they cross the Jordan River to enter the promised land and drive out the pagan nations. He says, When you come into the land which the Lord your God gives you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination, a soothsayer, or an augur (that is, an enchanter, one who looks for and uses omens), or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a medium, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord; and because of these abominable practices the Lord your God is driving them out before you. Moses mentions eight spiritist activities: divination, soothsaying, augury, sorcery, the use of charms, mediums, wizardry, or necromancy. These are not clearly distinct activities; they overlap and are sometimes used interchangeably. What they have in common is that they all involve efforts to obtain knowledge which is ordinarily hidden, and the means of attaining it is through dealings with the spirit world or with mysterious supra-natural forces.
I can’t believe people actually take this stuff seriously.
