I'll raise you: Most parents in MCPS are totally clueless about C2.0 or what their kid does on a weekly basis in school. We asked a neighbor what she thought about the curriculum and she literally said, "Oh, I don't know anything about it. My kids love school." There you have it, ignorance is bliss.
Alternatively, maybe your neighbor knows more about her children's foundational skills than you do?
doubtful Foundational skills from the MAP aren't shared. I know them b/c I understand the MAP and have administered it. So I understand my kids' scores. This isn't true of most parents. Most parents are in the "Ignorance is bliss" state, as the PP stated. We are moving our two-teacher HH out of the MCPS! And while my kids are considered "high achievers" in this county, I do wonder how that translates over into a new county. But as a teacher, I can figure things out. Non-educators have a more difficult time doing so. Peace out, pals! I saw this coming years ago, and while I tried to ride it out, it's become one big tsunami.
