He has been pretty up front about the fact that his advice was towards people making a good salary. Now, he might be trying to convince them that they can live on a "spend" of $23,000 a year AND SAVE THE REST. But obviously that is a very different thing than earning $23,000 and spending all of it! To the very low earners, his usual suggestion is "earn more". [/quote]
