I'm a woman and I think I understand. If my husband passed away, I would never replace *him* but I don't doubt that I would never fall in love again with someone else who has good qualities. On the other hand, I'm not sure I want to be married again--assumig I would be older and kids would be adults. This is where perhaps there's a difference--are widowed men more likely to remarry???[/quote]

Absolutely.

It’s fairly common for widowed men to remarry very fast. Sometimes I appreciatly fast. It is what it is. When kids lose their mom, this is a topic that therapists frequently have to talk about. It can be really hurtful to a kid whose parents had a good marriage to see the dad dating and remarry so soon after the mom has passed away. [/quote]
