Equal rights and "putting my group first" are two different things.

If you look at a policy or government expenditure first as "is this good for my group first" that has nothing to do with equality.  If you want equality in front of the law, or equal treatment by the government I think many will stand together for it.

Bingo. It's so rediculous to claim that diversity is a "strength."  It's one greatest weakness and why we will eventually be surpassed by China. It's a source of constant racial tensions, tribal politics, and discord. [/quote]

You are wrong. weakness will come from adhering too tightly to a cultural identity. Insularity is not possible for stability in the long term. Should be a balance.[/quote]

Indeed.  And they have never been a powerful country in the last 2000 years.  Their strong identification has enabled them to keep their culture/religion from going extinct, as have any number of cultures from around the world, but they have assimilated to whatever country they lived in.  Most Jews in the US are quite assimilated. You only see a tiny percentage of them insulated here.[/quote]
