It's an all around unfortunate situation. This year, the community has really fallen apart along race, socio-econ and language lines -- this is a dual language school. I have two kids there in the dual language program. This is our third year at the school and we have been thrilled with their learning and also with most of the teachers. Some are truly excellent. There have been some bullying problems that we heard about that seemed unfortunate. The principal was not a strong leader, but faced a lot of backlash -- some fair, some unfair -- from teachers and some factions of parents. Cleveland became a great school under the previous principal who was there for 20+ years. Many of us hope she will return. Many of us remain committed to this school nonetheless.[/quote]

Thanks for the insight. For clarification, there is a new principal coming into the school this year, Anna Krughoff, who has not worked with the school previously? Looking at her bio, she seems like she could be good. How do you and other current families feel about her, from what you know?
