4.63. I'm guessing it's because I'm not chatty and/or I don't tip. I'm always waiting outside, I don't bring food or drinks in the car or make a mess, and I don't complain about the route, air, etc. But I'm quiet and don't tip. I don't really care. I think it's ridiculous that uber even lets drivers rate paying customers. Short of riders who are abusive to drivers, I think it's poor form to rate and judge your customers.
No, it's not ridiculous. Drivers should know that type of people they are willing to pick up at 2-3 o'clock in the morning.
Really? And what is the difference between a 3, 4, or 5 customer? Are there some sort of rating guidelines that drivers use to understand what "type of people" they're picking up? No. It's an arbitrary rating system. It honestly tells them nothing unless someone has a sub-2 rating. Like I said, identifying abusive customers or those who should be banned makes sense. But otherwise letting drivers rate customers at 3, 4, or 5 is just pointless.
Exactly. There should be a way to note if the passenger was unsafe, dangerous, or damaged the car. Otherwise, it seems like a mechanism to try to get passengers to accept whatever crazy stupid thing the Uber driver does (like, take you on the interstate instead of surface streets; refuse or be inexplicably unable to stop at the actual address you typed in; drive dangerously; etc.) Likewise driver feedback by passengers should be specific only to the areas that reflect the actual job -- safety of car and driving, appropriate route, listening to directions, and actually managing to pick up and drop off where requested.
