White families historically have had significantly more advantages over minority families that have given them a leg up in many realms, including educational opportunities. Note as just one example the current thread about a family friend getting their child off an elite college's waitlist. How many AA or Latino families do you know who can call on friends/associates for such favors? Not even close. [/quote]
