And nearly all brats are ungrateful for the sacrifices.[/quote] Well 2 of my kids were good enough to get college scholarships...so not having to pay for college was a pretty good ROI. And my kids (and I coached) with a lot of kids who went on to play in college - so there is that. It takes a lot of time and a lot of money. But consider this...it kept my kids busy, in good physical shape, motivated, they got to travel and meet peers, focused on grades (less time to goof off) and committed to improving themselves. It was also a way for us to bond and connect because DH and I played the same sport that they did. So it had its cons and I am not sure I would go whole hog again, but it was a net positive to my family. To each his own. [/quote]
