I have wavy but not curly hair and it is thick but not hugely so. It works very well for my hair. I agree that using the traditional method of a round brush and hair dryer gives the same effect but that takes so long and both my arms get tired.

With this one, I can do it faster. I use the same method as I would with a round brush and dryer. But it is true that if you just washed your hair and it is very wet it might take quite awhile and the roots might be hard to get completely dry. A couple of ideas:

1. Dry your hair to where it is just damp with a regular dryer first
2. After you are done using the brush, go back over the roots just brushing them (with the dryer brush) - if that makes sense
3. This is what I do - wash hair the night before, pull it into a loose bun, then dry in the morning (still damp).

I don't use a protective heat product at this point, but once done drying I do use a Moroccan oil product to bring out shine and smooth everything.

The biggest thing that this did for me is it gave me the same results as very carefully drying with a normal hair dryer and a round brush but much, much quicker and only using one arm. [/quote]
