21:15 - do you not understand how this is a problem? We have no idea if she's actually answering constituent questions during these town halls. They are probably ALL plants, and she's claiming this to be "meeting her constituents" Yeah, no. She needs to show up in public and talk to people. That is her job. She is hiding from us and thinks she can get away with this shit.
She does need to publicly talk with folks. However, it should come as no surprise that she doesn't want to engage with people that will never vote for her and will shout her down and not let her answer questions. She's acting like a politician. Why are some people surprised?
we pay her damn salary and she is elected to represent all of us, not just the ones who agree wth her. She and the rest of the spineless mofos need to be reminded of that.
Comstock is one of the hardest working Reps out there. She represents all us is IN HER DISTRICT.
If that were true, she'd have a real town hall. Not only the kind she can control.
Would you put your life on the line to go out and speak among these lunatics? She's a wife, mother and grandmother, too. I have seen her out and about asnswering all sorts of challenging questions with poise and dignity. She very well may lose and, if so, that's the way politics works. Fund her opponent. Pay for negative ads. But, the average person living in her district understands that those who choose to come into a town hall and disrupt just for the sake of it are part of the problem, not the solution.
Ha! The fact that you're calling Comstock's constituents "these lunatics" shows how out of touch you are. I know quite a few people in her district--they're polite, well-educated professionals with children and they are exercising their rights under the First Amendment to be heard on issues that matter to them--like, health care, education and immigration. Comstock barely won against a not-so-inspiring opponent in 2018. She's going to lose in 2020 if she tries to keep herself away from all the but the most dedicated Republicans.
Barely won in "2018?" You do know that the 2018 election hasn't happened yet? Paid intern? She out preformed her own party's national candidate by 16 points.
