Maybe not an issue bc of age or surgical procedures that may have been done but in talking about this, I think - what would you do if you were president and First Lady relying on condoms or other bc? You can't exactly go down to cvs to get it. I'm pretty sure while theres a White House dr, there's no gyno. Do you really want to ask an aide to buy condoms or fill a BC script for you? Are you Amazon priming condoms at that point?
Even though there's no white house gynecologist, i'm pretty sure these first ladies aren't going 8 yrs without seeing anyone. They're either seeing someone at one of the nearby military facilities or their personal doctor when they go back to Chicago, Texas etc. In any event, I'm sure these doctors are aware that they can't just hand a first lady a script for something and expect her to go to CVS to fill it; so I'm willing to bet a drug is prescribed and while she waits in the office, it is filled at a hospital pharmacy under another name and then a dr. just hands it to her so she can drop it in her purse and go.
They have people for this "Body men" and the like. Wasn't Obama's Reggie Love or something? And thank God, because I really don't want or need to know about their prescriptions, etc., no matter who holds the office.
The medical records of the First Family are an extremely closely-held state secret. When the PoTUS travels overseas, he will often only go to the bathroom on a portable Presidential toilet and have the waste taken back to the US on Air Force One. Knowing what sicknesses or medications the first family may have is a way to hold leverage over them, or even poison them. I wouldn't be surprised if the Secret Service has a secure resource in the pharma industry so that medications go directly from the manufacturing line into their hands for testing. The same is probably also true for food sources to feed the White House. The chain of procurement must be secure and with no opportunities for alteration by 3rd parties.
This is fascinating. Are there any books about the office of the presidency we can read about all of this in detail?
