My mom did not get that memo!  Jesus, her and her husband (their second marriages) are like teenagers. I even found nudies of her laying around the house. They are so gross!!! There is some serious senior citizen sex going on with those two.[/quote]

I mean that in a loving way. I hope I'm still having sex when I'm collecting social security. I really think it is great, though I wish they had secured those pictures.  I think their renewed interest in sex is simply variety. They were both in long term first marriages where sex probably waned, much like the sad stories here on this site and then found each other and get to start all over again. Oh okay. :D It didn't come through initially. I had to push past my own phase of worrying that I'm not allowed to have sex anymore now that I'm older and unattractive, because my stupid midlife-crisis-having husband got judgy and decided to chase younger women. Then I realized I want to be enjoying sex until my dying day, and will just have to accept the wrinkly bits, and so will anyone who wants to join in. [/quote]

Or you can be like my mom and leave her philandering husband and find love and sex from someone who will appreciate you. She's having a great second chance at love and sex and I would guess that sex as a senior citizen is better for her than sex as a married mother of 3 growing kids.

This article points out the attitude that you recoiled at in my initial post. That older people are "not supposed to be sexual" according to our youthful society, but this is simply not true,  I read somewhere that venereal diseases are a real problem in retirement homes. [/quote]
