Very, very quiet in the neighborhood. Although paternal grandmother (and partner?), great grandmother and grandfather (and 2nd wife?) are still in the house with the daughter, the house is  quite dark. Despite being further dumbstruck (as if that was even possible) by the depravity of BB’s violence and his attempt to impugn Christine during his testimony, no neighbors are being openly hostile given that any such things as a verbal attack or shaming or leaving “get out of the neighborhood” notes in their mailbox would adversely affect the child. As far as other interaction, it is limited as we see them drive in and out of the neighborhood. the house is actually on a pipe stem off the cul de sac so they can go in and out without encountering anyone. BB’s father is usually at the school bus stop and prior to trial was somewhat social with other parents there. Don’t know how much that has changed. [/quote]
