But as it turns out Trump was very good friends with Jeffrey Epstein. I think the only time in history that Trump has been shown to really laugh is with Epstein. They were obviously very close. And now Trump and AG Bondi are shutting everything down. And all these MAGA conservatives who were radicalized by Q-Anon conspiracies are absolutely losing their minds. Trump was supposed to be the protector of girls in their universe. And now it looks he may be the Evil One himself - queue all the appalling photos of Trump with a very young Ivanka.

So this is a big deal for the MAGA flag waivers. They are disoriented and angry.

But even objectively, the whole Jeffrey Epstein story is mystifying and bewildering. And seeing the government clamp it all down is adding more fuel to all the conspiracies.

The U.S. government has been suppressing the story for years, with multiple bipartisan efforts.
