That's natural when you build a family together. i do think he has more lingering feelings that's complex because of his addiction being a major cause of the break up. It's not necessarily romantic love. It's the nostalgia, the unresolved feelings, the what it's. I don't think many people believe when he said the finalization wasnt big. That's his ego talking. He also still speaks about their Smith movie positively too. Just recently he was playing a game of "this and that" with his movies and said filming Smith was a lot of fun.
