I'm voting Hogan. Too many Democrats in Congress allowing open borders. And now the Democrats want to tax unrealized gains. 🤮
Unless you have north of $100M of assets, the unrealized gains thing doesn't impact you. If you do, the congratulations for being in the .2%
GMAFB There is never a tax Dems haven't liked. Of course they'll argue unrealized gains will only be imposed in people making $100M. Then when they like the tax they'll lower it to $1M. Then they'll argue or it to be imposed on everyone no matter the income. Dems like Biden and Harris now want to increase taxes on people earning as low as $400K, because they now consider people earning that much to be 'rich'. In demented Dems minds, there is never ever the possibility that the govt has a spending problem and that you can't keep taxing your way out of it. Also, ANY kind of unrealized gain tax form highly volatile assets like stocks is a horrific idea for many reasons. One year the govt will set a budget based on X dollars of tax revenue because they expect a certain amount of income from taxation on unrealized gains. What are they going to do when the economy has a downturn and stocks tank 20% in a month? You think they'll cut spending simultaneously because next year's tax revenues on unrealized gains will be non-existent? Ha! Yeah right. The law of unintended consequences will take over and the govt will blow itself up even more when there's any kind of economic downturn or they have to dole out huge amounts of tax breaks to people who have gigantic unrealized losses whenever their holdings tank. Just a really moronic idea..I'm voting out as many Dems from Congress as I can, becsie their economic and taxation policies are written by imbeciles.
You were never going to vote for any Democrat anyway. "I'm voting out as many Dems from Congress as I can" sure sounds like you're planning to commit voter fraud, though.
