In fact, I can’t think of a more democratic president. He’s critiqued all the time, bashed all the time yet he fights back on Twitter and during press conferences because that’s what democracy is. It’s about the voice of the people. His White House didn’t ban the White House Press Corps reporters from asking questions for 2 years straight like the Biden White House did. The democrats are the ones that have been anti democratic and not open to debate or the consensus of the people or majority rule . They are making backroom deals to protect establishment politicians from a real public forum or primary and that’s anti democratic . The RNC had a far more democratic process in 2015. They let Trump speak and didn’t push him out of the party because his ideas were unorthodox. They didn’t feel beholden to push the legacy /monarchy esque candidate like Jeb Bush the way the DNC pushed “it’s her turn!” Hillary .
....except for the failed coup on January 6th. I can't think of a more anti-democratic action by a President of the United States in our nation's history.
Riots are a sign of a healthy democracy. The voice of the people was heard loud and clear in summer of 2020 and Jan 6. He did not declare martial law and make himself king in both instances as the doomsday predictors were predicting . Where is the law and order military state? I read he was going to make himself king because he had dictatorial ambitions. Seems like the Jan 6th unrest and summer of 2020 as well as the pandemic (all unprecedented) were perfect opportunities to do so yet he passed on all three. He handed power over to his successor on January 20th and left office. Dictators do not do that so I find it hard to believe suddenly he’s going to want to be president for life after 2029 when he’s pushing 85.
