Bestie I hate to tell you this but in hindsight it’s clear Reputation is about Matty. The “you and me we got big reputations” line from End Game never made sense with regard to Joe, who has zero reputation and was as wild as milk, but if you reframe all the Reputation songs knowing Matty has been in her head for 10 years, it makes way, way more sense. I say this as a diehard Reputation fan too. It’s a Matty album.

The more I listen, the more I am convinced that dozens of her songs from the past decade are directly about Matty Healy.
