I wonder what is meant by the parent comment below: “A former Richneck parent, Steve Carrington, told News 3's Kelsey Jones that he was happy to hear about the indictment.” "If it had been anyone else, they would have been charged," he said. "It should have happened a while ago, but I'm glad it happened." https://www.wtkr.com/news/mother-of-6-year-old-boy-who-shot-teacher-at-richneck-elem-facing-charges-including-child-neglect
Do you mean the "If it had been anyone else" part? Is this woman (Deja Taylor) in some type of position of power or something? Or maybe related to someone who is?
I've been wondering that for months. No leak at all with the name. And, no explanation for why they didn't send the kid to a different type of school. there is a woman with the same name in Richmond who appears to be connected with Richmond schools as an activist. I wonder if they are related. Or, is she related to one of the administrators at the school or in the system?
I think the unsavory but actual truth is that the child’s age and the races of the teacher versus the boy and his parents are the reason for the delays and for the lack of initial revelation of names and identities. The accommodation makes zero sense. The complete foul disregard the admin has and had for the teacher. The absurd overprotection of the boy at expense of other students and families. There’s a difference between wanting to give kids another chance and this, between saving a very young black boy from being “a statistic” and this. And from what people have found on Facebook the parents and kid are awful. Yes, the kid too.
