+1. Go to some open houses on the Philadelphia Main Line.  This isn’t about Boomers, it’s about a culture and relationship to money and experience that some PPs can’t pick up on. It’s not a tasteless Boomer house, it’s an aesthetic that goes beyond that generation, but a lot of outsiders do not pick up on the nuance.[/quote]

Yep.  It’s why lower and middle classes always want a new kitchen and bathrooms.  They have furniture from ikea but must have the latest trends in kitchen and baths.  Not sure what’s driving it but trendy kitchen and baths are definitely a middle class thing.  [/quote]
