Today our ES school received our first community covid notification in almost three weeks.  It will be interesting to see if others follow, especially after Spring break.  My kids are still wearing masks.  Wishing good health to everyone![/quote]

I'm shocked there are still a few ES kids wearing masks.  Saying "just wait until after Spring Break" tells you about the neurosis of the parents of these poor kids.

Our school is still 99% mask wearing. So is my neighborhood school (from the kids i see walking to class). This is in S. Arlington large minority populations and in 22204 which has been hit hardest among covid. Easier for families to go maskless when they haven't lost family/friends from it (we lost 3 of my neighbors and my husband's uncle). I am not saying that kids need to wear masks forever (although my kids chose to wear them until the end of the school year when I gave them a choice). From what I gather on this board there is a very big difference between mask wearing in North vs. South Arlington elementary schools.
