Don’t assume. DCUM posters have mentioned a mental health boost for some adolescents who were being bullied. There was a really eloquent piece online by the mother of a second grader with autism about their experiences. I know that my own daughter was so relieved that her disruptive classmates opted out for MP4 and they were able to learn in her FL class without disruptions. She’s eager to return to F2F, but is going to HS and will be in a program that most likely will not have as many off-task students. Ask people what they want and then advocate for them to have choices. Not one size fits all. This is a rehash of the MP4 grade argument. Options worked pretty well. [/quote]
