Summarizes nicely what is wrong with this thread: if you do not see Barca at the best thing that ever happened to soccer in the US, you’re asked to leave.
You were not asked to leave. You were asked why do you care so much about a club you are not involved with? It is you who is obsessed over the attitudes of people you don’t know at a club you’re not affiliated with. Exactly what open dialog would you like to have when your only concern is you don’t seem to like the parents on this thread. Exactly what does that have to do with the the club or the training?
You realize these post are most likely coming from coaches from around the area that see Barca as a threat. I love the game of soccer and have 4 kids in different programs and I appreciate options because not every player develops the same within a program. This system is proven to work so I even as a Non Barca family I'd put a vegas bet on the fact that this program will be considered a gold standard in 5-10 years. You Barca families need to stop feeding the trolls!
This is wrong, but nice conspiracy theory. I think it's just as likely if not more that there is someone on the Barca staff posting on these boards, just based on the postings.
I just find it odd how the biggest complaint about a club is how the parents represent themselves or the club online. There have been fair criticisms regarding Barca's tournament and league results and I think most are in agreement that the results are more based on high variance of talent throughout the club. AND YET, regardless of the results people are mostly happy with the training overall. Barca is not perfect but for parents seeking a place where the emphasis is on training, regardless of the players skill level, some folks do find it a breath of fresh air from wherever they came from. The critics of the parents have to understand that many of the kids came from B or C teams in clubs who's coaches or TD's generally overlooked them and in many cases had poor coaching. Barca has provided quality coaches for ALL the players in the club and have gone out of their way to create a confusing naming convention to remove the stigma associated with A groups and B groups. So, if your kid is on a A team, and getting training that you are happy with then don't worry about it, Barca is not hurting you. Barca parents who feel that their kid is finally being given training and the attention like other clubs A team players don't worry about it, Barca is not hurting you.
