Apart from Sarah Bessey, who continues to write, the other internet besties have slowly receded into the background. I think a lot of it has to do with having stable, happy relationships. Jamie Wright has backed away from most posting on IG or her blog. Kristen Howerton doesn't seem to be doing her podcast anymore. Tara Livesay is stepping away from her birthing center. What do they have in common? Seemingly happy marriages or relationships over the past several years.
I think what they also have in common is a refusal to use their kids' problems as content. I know some of those women have kids with mental health stuff and other challenges but they give their kids privacy and post about them in flattering ways instead of criticizing them publicly. Unlike Jen, her internet besties also seem to enjoy their kids' company. I also think these women have found meaning in their lives outside of internet head-pats and collecting fans like Jen seems to still be chasing.
