Playing on age is not playing down. It's the default. And this is a club that's a similar level to FC Copa.

It's the clubs themselves who are doing this. Here's another one, in Indiana. Did a whole video. You can play with an older grade as an exception. So, the default at this club is to play on age. From around the 10-11 min mark.

"And so one of the exceptions we're making is that if your child has been placed in an advanced school grade above what is their age group, we will allow that player to try out with that advanced school grade. And so let's say they everyone they they started school early and they're in seventh grade, but their age group would put them in sixth grade. We would allow the player to try out with the seventh grade age group. [b]It doesn't guarantee a team placement,[/b] but if the parent and
the player would so choose, we we'd be more than happy to have them be able to be around their peers."

You are seriously delusional.

Union FC literally said players that are a grade up in school from where their age group would typically place them in SY are free to try out with that grade level team.[/quote]
