Everyone who volunteers in the school building or chaperones class trips needs a clearance every two years. I would like the WaPo reporter to look into this.[/quote] The problem seems to be that Thomas passed a background check BEFORE he was caught abusing victim 1 and then never did another background check. Background checks should be continuous. In other words, if someone passes a background check and then breaks the law, the school should be notified by the authorities. I don’t think this happens though. [/quote]
