Why couldn't they [b]select players and form birth-year appropriate teams for all-stars[/b]? Have a few practices with these select players based on whatever rules they need to know for the tournament that are different than what they've been playing in rec, and they should be just about on the same level as any other club's teams that are there.

Just because VYS didn't adopt the birth-year mandate for rec doesn't mean they couldn't put teams together to reward kids that deserve the chance to play.[/quote]
