The broken window was less than 2 inches, which is probably why they didn’t bother to fix it. Also, it was covered in undisturbed spider webs that the police observed.

No one claimed that anyone went through the 2 inch window. John had broken it so that he could unlatch the window pull it up and get in. Detective Lou smit, and you can watch the video online, demonstrated how a man his size could easily get through the window.
