Biggest question: Does Tim Walz move the needle for independents/moderates?
An even better question is does he motivate the people who would otherwise not vote to take action,.
Unmotivated here. I had planned to go to the polls but abstain from casting a vote in the presidential race and only participate in downballot races. Yes, I’m definitely more interested in voting for Harris-Walz than for Harris BUT I am waiting to hear more about what she actually wants to do with her term, and I want to see if she has a plan to use Walz in her administration in a real way and not just have him keep the second chair warm for four years. But this speaks much better for her team-choosing than the hit pieces over the last four years have. If her cabinet, staff, and advisor choices will be this strong, I am marginally more encouraged. That said, if it’s clear that she doesn’t have a clear vision or plan (haven’t seen one yet) and he’ll just be pulled out of Minnesota with no real way to serve the greater good in Washington, I’ll be back to unmotivated.
