Not to mention the fact that NK didn't turn 50 until after the series aired & LD turned 50 about a week before it aired so neither were  "actually 50" (as is the poster's complaint) when it was filmed.

Of course, even if they were "actually 50" & playing mothers of 6-year-olds, so what? Not only are there 50-year-old mothers of first graders in real life, there are also plenty of mothers of first graders who are considerably younger than 50 but who look considerably older than either actress does in the series.[/quote]
