I wonder if he was evaluated as brain dead and the family decided to take him off life support.
The doctors said his breathing was not assisted. I’m not sure what other life support would be needed, other than a feeding tube. And, it can take a long time to pass when a feeding tube is removed.
So then they did not take him off life support, and he was not "brain dead". Sometimes people can wake up after years from a coma that involves only certain functions of the brain. It is possible that he had other injuries, and that he really died of a combination of health issues from the maltreatment he suffered. So very cruel to only tell his parents two weeks ago, that he had been in a coma for a year. So cruel and unnecessary; why did they not release him sooner? Very tragic, all of it, and that his family only got a few days with him.
Just another Obama failure.
