TBH, I actually thought he was telling the truth. Which is why it didn't look great for the Admin. If he were a good liar, he could have painted a better picture.

She asked a great question about whether a photo was redacted because the DOJ believed the person in the picture with Trump was a victim. It was a perfectly reasonable follow up to the prior answers he'd given, and he didn't dodge or get angry. He fumbled and gave an answer that was probably truthful though wholly unsatisfying because it does not exculpate the President.

I kind of doubt there is a smoking gun of pedophilia for Trump in the files. If there were, I'm on the fence as to whether that would end his career. People are too invested in not being wrong about him. I'm glad the files are coming to light, especially because maybe it's a path toward holding some powerful men accountable. But I just don't believe they will be Trump's downfall. There is no doubt he is crude and sexist and he ogles young girls. And there is no doubt he does things like cheat on his wife. If anything character-related could sink him, it already would have. He's also a convicted felon, and no one cares.[/quote]
