What is it particularly about White men that makes them go into these online communities? I’m not trying to start anything, I’m being genuine. There are plenty families of all races with internet and computer access so why in particular is it seemingly always White men?
Gee I don't know, does your local school or university have a club where white men can meet others like them? Is that allowed?
Yes, it’s called a fraternity. Or IT club. Any gamer club. Or pretty much any sport that requires big money like tennis, crew, fencing, lacrosse hockey, water polo, or swimming. I went to a diverse college and even with affinity groups out the wazoo it was very easy for a white male to partake in exclusively white male environments tailored to their specific interests. So easy in fact no one needed to make a special white male club.
You obviously went to college a very long time ago and are completely out of touch.
These clubs don’t exist anymore? Fraternities are gone? These sports don’t exist any more? In Utah?! Give me a break.
Let us know the President of a fraternity is the next shooter. Or the captain of the football team. Weirdly, it's never them.
I think our definition / boundary of what a normal, healthy acceptable man is is very narrow, especially in Utah, but in the West generally. It's like they're stuck in the 1950s. And the shooters are often outcasts. It seems like, if boys or men don't fit into this little narrow lane of "normal" and "successful" there, especially if they are from a family like the shooter's (cop, Republican, gun oriented) they're thrown out like the trash. I say that as a gay family member who was casually and cruelly "thrown out like the trash" by a Republican, Western "close" family. But I'm a woman, so I turned my anger inwards. I also have a lot of friends and other family who supported me. Now, I have no idea whatsoever whether Tyler Robinson was gay or a leftie or an outcast, or whatever. But I can certainly tell you a little about religious right MAGA culture. I can tell you that it's not accepting or kind or encouraging of sensitive sweet boys or men.
I’m so sorry. I know of minors who were actually thrown out on the street by these families. So traumatic and you didn’t deserve any of it. Right wingers remain the original “cancel culture”. I’m convinced God has extra special things in store for them for throwing out their own blood like yesterday’s garbage.
