I can think of maybe 3 kids who went to boarding school ‘up north’ in the past few years - certainly not enough to make any sort of dent. It’s weird to go to boarding school from here - a ton of excellent and varied private schools to choose from and to put it simply, the kids have fun here in high school. It’s a good place to grow up. Go look at Deerfield’s roster, they have more than 3 kids from the greater DC area on its roster alone. And that’s just one school.

New England privates are the cream of the crop in terms of academics and college placement.

Tons of DC area families look up north for HS.

Those are the 3 I’m thinking of. But that’s it…
