Yep.  Thousands joins thousands of books have been published on alcoholics and their behavior and what it does to their spouses and offspring.  There are terms “ACOA” adult children of alcoholics —who all experience similar trauma and lasting poor coping skills and ease of lying after growing up with an alcoholic.  AA and Alanon these organizations have been an around forever.
