We don't know that.  It's actually suprising how little we know about either his motive or ideology.  We don't even know if he has an ideology.

Nobody understands furries.  I'm guessing they're just assuming that furry = left wing because it's a way out there lifestyle and mainstream conservatives automatically think that everything weird if "left wing".  But furries defy classification.
