Definitely thought it was interesting that this level of snark/Internet shaming was reserved for Remy and Ben. It is not fun or cutesy. It feels like a gross power move, paraded as internet fodder. The whole, "this is my house/I pay the mortgage" is gross. Of course it's yours. Your children have not launched. What does she get out of these comments, besides making her children feel small/belittled. Optics of all this surely isn't great. Even if she has a black boyfriend. Does she know you can still be racist, even if you're dating a black man?
Yeah, it’s interesting how she has totally parentified Ben for a long time. Even if he is super mature and helpful, wouldn’t you want to demonstrate that you’re not essentially making your adopted child work for love and acceptance? Then you have little Remy. Well Sydney was a remarkably easy child; Jen’s mini-me. Then you have Remy… we all know the stories that Jen has posted over the years highlighting serious issues. Jen goes from exoticizing her beauty to trashing her character, like there’s barely any middle ground. Whether intentional or not, I agree it’s a gross image for both of those kids. Only Caleb gets to be the spoilt difficult child.
