The sheer indignity of Christine's death enrages me. By all accounts she was kind, smart, hardworking, dedicated to her family and job. She dealt with being married to a cheating POS for her daughter's sake. She made majority of the household income and spent her free time finding fun things to do with her daughter. And this arrogant, nasty, soft pasty "man" not only murders her in cold blood, but he sets her up in such a disgusting way. To make it look like she wants to be raped, to say she was turned on by her job as a sexual assault nurse, to call her a cheater without a shred of evidence. What on earth could this woman have done to deserve such indignity?!?!
+1. I'm actually shocked that the defense is having him testify. He's unlikeable and his story is implausible. He also seems remorseless. Judge is going to eat him alive at sentencing.
I agree with the poster who said they probably had him testify because he wanted to say that Christine was a cheater who was into kink , and since there was zero evidence of that whatsoever- no digital evidence, no people coming forward to say they’d slept with Christine during her marriage, ZERO EVIDENCE- the only way to introduce that theory was for BB to say it on the stand.
You're probably right. But what a catastrophically poor strategy. With no external evidence, no one believes this about Christine. No one is looking to slander a pediatric nurse. And no one benefits from this story except BB. Defense should have played it straight and gone for reasonable doubt (obvs I am rooting for prosecution).
