I voted yes and was sad about it. I’m glad it is temporary. I realized as the Trump signs on the lawns around me turned into vote NO signs that the people who ares saying that aren’t doing it out of principle. If it were Republicans redistricting, they would be just fine with it. They voted for Trump who is a liar, a bankrupt sexual assaulter and bringing our country to its knees. They have no principles and the only way to stop the monster is to have a temporary redistricting measure. They would do the same, and voted for someone who stormed the US capital to stay in power. It was a sad vote, but like when I parent my kids, sometimes even sad things need to happen.
You are the one who is a liar. You were not sad about it. You were overcome with joy casting that vote, enabling your “side” to steal 4 seats in the House. You think you upped Trump, you didn’t. But congratulations, you just taught those kids that two wrongs make a right. Great parenting!
Not really, I just gave up on believing Republicans want to uphold democracy and peoples rights over corporations and power. They don’t. It does make me sad.
And now you think Democrats do? Bless your heart
Thanks, bless yours too. God save the republic. I am feeling powerless against the abomination that trumps second term. He is destroying the USA. I don’t think dems are great, but this is absolutely awful and no one is listening.
Gerrymandering Virginia is not going to save the Republic and actively destroys the rights of others. I guess that's OK since they are not on your team.
Thinking in political “teams” is not my intent. I have views on both sides of those “teams.” I think most people do, but the political divide is good for upping clicks, so here we are. Nothing would destroy the rights of others more than ICE and the SAVE act. My vote here may at least counter those. As far as whether or not the referendum will save the Republic, you are probably right, but sitting here typing is definitely not going to do it either. And this is worth a try.
