When Trump's administration decides to go after reproductive rights and college/academic freedoms; when they break down doors and place Virginians in zip-ties outside in the middle of the night; when they send National Guard troops to Northern Virginia -- whatever the current adminisration does, the first line of defense will be the Virginia attorney general. Let me say that again: Virginia's attorey general will be the person standing up to the federal government. To paraphrase a certain political figure, Jones could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Ave., and I'd still vote for him. I'm voting for him because I do not trust Miyares or any Republican to stand up for my rights as an American and a Virginian. Miyares isn't going to do anything when Trump attempts to take away birth control or when Trump starts telling Virginia colleges what they can and cannot teach. The Trump administration doesn't care about the law. They're already looking for ways to break the 2019 law THAT TRUMP HIMSELF SIGNED stating that furloughed employees are due back payment in a shutdown. I need an attorney general who will protect Virginia, and I trust Jones more than I trust Miyares.
This is the crux. Miyares has shown us that he won’t stand up for Virginians.
Yeah, and you are completely full of shit and the majority of Virginians will provide proof soon.
Miyares has done nothing when Trump has attacked Virginians. He won’t do anything when Trump comes up with his next Big Lie.
Yes, he has attacked Virginians: He has attacked Descano and his policy of letting perps go. A great example is Richard Cox. He has not supported FCPS and its defense of trans girls over bio girls. That actually is a case between the FCPS school board and the feds. He has begun an investigation of the issue at Centreville High school. Seems to me, that his "attacks" on Virginians are actually defense of Virginians.
All good points.
