I'm watching 48 Hrs show about this and they keep saying Mur-daw instead of Mur-dock. Funny a major news magazine show can't figure out how to pronounce the name despite the murderer himself making it very clear on video I've seen before.
So he himself clearly says Mur-dock? I don't think I've heard him say it clearly in the news clips I've seen. Is that the common pronunciation of Murdaugh? I've never heard the name before.
Yes he clearly says Mur-dock. Alec Murdock, not Alex. I know this for sure because now I'm watching a CNN show about the case where he repeatedly says his name, like when he makes the 911 calls and when he is sworn in in court, and there is no doubt about it. Also, the news people on CNN say it correctly, Alec Murdock.
His name is Richard Alexander Murdaugh. I think he doesn’t know how to pronounce his own name. Best to stick with the backwoods nicknames
The owner of the name determines the pronunciation. Your preference is irrelevant in the matter.
+1
