That might be enough evidence for YOU, but there are those of us who call into question that the newspaper breaking the story endorsed the opponent AND the fact that the paper was not approached, but instead did the approaching and investigating. That cognitive dissonance of yours may be giving you a stroke, pp. The fact that the paper was not approached is part of what gives the story credibility. You should always be skeptical of someone who comes to you with a story to tell -- they have a hidden agenda, an axe to grind, etc. In this case, they went and asked these women about their stories and corraborated with 30 other people that it happened. The fact that the paper did the approaching is part of the credibility of the accusations, not the opposite.[/quote]
