What argument are you even making crazy lady?  Just that the 27s and 28s, actual living breathing teenage girls, are terrible lacrosse players?  Or that the club sucks and the players should have instead chosen some make believe alternative?  Try to act sober this time.  [/quote]

Lol, no. I have maintained for years that capital is lazy, incompetent, and behind the times with the HS only model. And for years I had to hear the incessant yapping of annoying capital parents about how their kid’s team was going to be amazing, that capital was amazing, and that capital will get their kid into any school bc every coach in the world loves capital. Since there are good players in DC and zero legit competition, capital did really well when the given year had talent and 100% of the local kids stayed home. But as we can see now, I was correct. Capital isn’t magic, they just get lucky whenever their is a good class and kids/families don’t make the right decision to tryout elsewhere.

Each year you are seeing kids leave for better run programs like heros and m&d, the few uber talented 28s and 29s should have gone elsewhere too. This person may be obsessed but it doesn’t mean they’re wrong. There’s a legitimate frustration with the area girls club lax programs that seems to manifest itself with a focus on Capital. This is not just a Capital problem.

The frustration is partially misplaced because the younger local clubs are not as well run and coached as the Baltimore/annapolis clubs and Capital is where everyone put their last hope after years of poor youth coaching and training. Talented Girls are leaving the DC area early because the younger clubs underperform. I can’t blame families for making that decision given the absurd reality of sophomore year exposure and performance for college recruiting.

The Capital HS model is a legacy of an older era that will not hold up if better run clubs come into existence at the k-8 age group in this area. The MnD DC 28 team exposed this coming competition.

It is fascinating that Capital can’t see the writing on the wall here. They run the risk of becoming irrelevant in 5-10 years if they don’t expand at least into middle school. Any savvy business person should be able to see this.

I believe Capital will take notice when it starts hitting the bottom line of healthy baller. That’s probably a few years away though. [/quote]
