Wow, reading through some of this incredibly long thread one would think that Ludlow Taylor was the worst public school ever and people who allow there children to attend it are either crazy liberal, don't care about education, or live in PG county. Well I for one am a) not crazy liberal b) care about my child's education c) don't live in PG county but rather on 6th and F NE. For those people who are griping about the principal I wonder how many of you actually attend the school and attend the PTA meetings? I'm certain I would know who you are considering there are so few of us there. What is really amazing to me is the vitriol that is so frequently unleashed on blogs like this about LTES from people who's children don't even attend the school. Furthermore, the amount of disinformation that is spread throughout the community is startling. Those of us who have children at LTES are hoping to make it a great community school. Those of you who have had you child at LTES and have elected to leave, by all means please share with others your constructive criticisms of the school and move on. For those of you who only past judgement based on the number of children being dropped off from cars with MD tags or by counting the number of black children (your kidding yourselves if some of you say you don't do this) please shut up. Principal Cobbs is doing a good job (as evident by the most recent test scores). If she doesn't address every one of your ridiculous concerns about how rigorous a PK3, PK4, K or First grade class is please try to relax. Your hyperacute world is not the reality for teaching small children. I for one am tired of hearing all the nonsense about LTES when my child's experience was so positive. Harken back to that old expression that your mom (or dad) taught you; if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. Thanks, Scott Burger
Thank You. -A LTES Teacher
+1!
