Siobhan - a beautiful name - but so hard to pronounce.
I mean, actually easy to pronounce if you are Irish. Just not intuitive if you aren't. This is actually one of the less pretentious hard-for-Americans-to-pronounce Irish names, IMO. Once you know how to say it, it's easy, plus it was the name of a main character on Succession which I think really popularized it. I do sometimes do a double take when people who are not Irish use some of the tricker names. If you are just a generation removed and still have family there, and actually visit a lot, okay. But if your great-great-great grandmother was Irish but you name your daughter Caoimhe, I am going to side eye you. There are also a ton of Irish names that are easy for Americans to pronounce, so when people go out of their way to pick one of the tough ones, it really feels like they are trying too hard.
