Please go away. It is on par with some of the other schools mentioned. Many very successful families choose these schools for a variety of reasons. And top kids at these schools do just as well as kids at TT schools. And often have a happier four years of HS doing so. Not that I primarily focus on HS.
The top 10% of Trevor is not doing just as well as HM or Dalton.
are the trevor kids less intelligent, driven, motivated? or is it the teaching? or is it all about the parents $$, hooks etc?
Most the intelligence and drive. There is more money at HM and the like but there’s enough at Trevor. The Trevor students just aren’t up to snuff even with large gifts to universities.
Wondering this as well. What happens if an intelligent, driven, motivated kid attends Trevor? Do they not end up in the same place as if they went to HM?
They’ll have a marginally worse outcome. Iron sharpens iron. Being around unintelligent peers weighs down your growth.
what specifically can you shares about Trevor that causes your concerns?
Please don't encourage them. Somehow Trevor made them angry so they have this horrible hatred towards the school. Trevor has its pros and cons. They go overboard on the cons. Top kids there do very well. Overall outcomes don't compare to TT, but a top kid has a very good chance at an Ivy. And will have four less stressful years of HS. One can better argue about the benefits of the lower school program but it is still not as bad as this person makes it out to be.
i'd like to hear their points on Trevor. Hopefully they can make a solid argument for why they don't like it.
Trust me. They can't. And note that I am not president of Trevor's fan club. It isn't perfect. One can constructively say negative things about it. But this clown's visceral hatred of it just destroys all reasonable discussion. It is not OK to feel that kind of childish hatred towards anything (other than maybe Donald Trump and anchovies). I'm out. Not sure why I am wasting my time.
what is the reason for their hatred of Trevor? At least with the B parent we know the main reasons they do not like B. we might disagree on whether or not it's systemic there - but at least we have some context and some actual facts about the school. saying Trevor sucks and ROI isn't good is pretty detailed enough.
It’s matriculation and scores are terrible for the price. Especially when great publics are next door on the UWS and UES. There’s simply no justification for it.
But you don't feel that obsessively passionate about many of its peer (or worse) schools? Just Trevor. Whatever. I think a Trevor girl stole your boyfriend back in the day and you're still bitter. Or a Trevor alum fired you. Or your kid just didn't get in.
Everyone knows what Dwight and Browning and Columbia are, 3T. There’s shilling and a gross exaggeration of Trevor here that other dumpster fires don’t have.
what are other 2T schools and what do you consider TT? CGPS exmissions are better than Trevor i believe. From this year, Trevor has about 35% to elite or T30 type schools. CGPS has almost 50%
Why are you seeking answers and fulfillment from this person who clearly knows nothing. You seem to have battered spouse syndrome. Ignore them. Unless it is just the same person responding to their own posts. Which is a whole different syndrome.
i love discussions. the person must know something, curious as to why. you can't be that negative toward a school just because the ROI is bad.
There are terrible schools everywhere. Few aside from Trevor and Trump University claim to be amazing and towards the top of the heap despite being a waste of money.
No one has claimed Trevor is amazing. It is just a strawman this child has set up to justify taking it down. I don't go to an auto mechanic to get an opinion on my heart function. And I don't go to a cardiologist to get an opinion on my muffler. And I don't go to this imbecile for an opinion on schools. Trevor is a very good but not great borderline 2T/3T school. It has been increasing in popularity and selectivity and quality of exmissions in recent years. Kids at the top of the class there go to elite schools (Ivy+). Probably not as many HYPS but still impressive and roughly comparable to most any other school. At the bottom of the scale there are some less desirable schools. The 50% kid likely is not comparable to TT. One could reasonably question the value of Trevor vs. top neighborhood public for elementary and perhaps middle school. High school in NYC is a very different animal and different people want different things, and shelling out for four years of private HS is very different than paying for private K-12. One can make a very compelling argument for choosing Trevor for high school. There. Happy? And I did not use AI for any of that. Used the brain my momma gave me. It doesn't sugar coat Trevor but nor does it tear it down.
