Slotkin's rebuttal: The economy: Helping out the middle class, not billionaires. Helping the working class where it comes to groceries and healthcare. Keeping the benefits like social security and medicare that workers worked for their whole lives. Not imposing destructive tariffs and not giving billionaires tax breaks. National security and public safety: Not firing the people who safeguard our nuclear arsenal, our air traffic controllers, and so on. Securing the border but actually having a plan for immigration. Keeping our defensive alliances intact. True strength meaning using our military and economic might with moral clarity like Reagan - unlike the transactional Trump nonsense. AMERICAN leadership in the world, not Chinese or Russian. That's what most Democrats actually stand for. But the people living in their MAGA bubbles don't understand that. They are only told "they want to trick your kids into thinking they are they/them" and other nonsense.
Slotkin failed to vigorously stand up for the rights of LGTBQIA++ folks, and especially transgender teen athletes who t-rump unfairly attacked viciously.
Because those are irrelevant, non-serious issues that shouldn’t be part of the Democratic Party platform. All the trans stuff is ridiculous and the Democrats need to eject it from all talking points. Less than 1% of the population is truly confused or unhappy with their biological gender. So much energy focused on an issue that affects so few. I say we just leave these poor confused folks alone and worry about real issues that are part of everyone’s daily life like finances, taxes, law and order, etc…. I am a life long Democrat and have never voted for a Republican and I’m exhausted by the constant trans talk. Just let it go.
LGBTQAI+, abortion, and supporting immigration are all we have left. Without it we’re just Republicans. Nobody wants to be a Republican!
NP. It sounds like identity crisis  But yeah, I totally agree with PP. Focusing on all the stuff that already lost you an election is like screaming at a wall to part and let you pass through.
